Finding the right next school

Choosing a child's next school is an important decision, and one that looks different for every family. At Carrig Montessori, our close relationships with children and families allow us to offer thoughtful, individualized guidance throughout this transition.

Because we come to know each child so well during their years at Carrig, we can help families consider the types of educational environments in which their child is most likely to thrive. This may include discussing particular schools, their educational approaches, and how they might complement a child's individual strengths, interests, and learning style.

As families navigate the independent school admissions process, we complete teacher recommendations, student evaluations, and other forms requested by the schools to which they apply. Our familiarity with each child allows us to provide thoughtful, detailed responses grounded in their development and experience at Carrig.

Over the years, Carrig has developed relationships with receiving schools that have come to recognize the preparation our graduates bring to their next educational environment. We value these relationships and the continuity they help provide as children move forward in their education.
